What Are You Craving?

What are you craving? Not just food—but that urge, that pull, that desire that bubbles up and whispers, “You need this.” Cravings are part of being human. But when they begin to steer us away from our truth, our balance, or our well-being, that’s when it’s time to pause and take a closer look.

Cravings aren’t bad. They’re simply signals. In fact, the desire to feel good, to connect, to feel full (in any way) is incredibly natural. The challenge comes when we reach for something that doesn’t truly nourish us. When we soothe discomfort with sugar. When we quiet our stress with alcohol. When we scroll ourselves numb.

This is where the practice begins.

In Ayurveda, this misalignment is known as prajnaparadha—a mistake of the intellect. It’s when we know something doesn’t serve us… but we choose it anyway.

It doesn’t mean we’ve failed. It means it’s time to listen more deeply.

Ask yourself:

  • Where is this craving coming from?
  • Is it physical, emotional, mental… or habitual?
  • Am I trying to fill a need or avoid a feeling?
  • Is this craving tied to a pattern, person, or past experience?

Even asking these questions is an act of presence. A spark of sattva—the clarity and steadiness we aim for in Ayurveda and yoga.

When you turn toward a craving with curiosity instead of judgment, something shifts. You create space. You reclaim choice.

This is the real heart of the Radiant Reset: learning to respond to yourself differently. And yes—on the weekend, when the urge to let loose hits hard? That’s when this work matters most.

So… what are you craving? Can you stay with it a little longer—breathe into it, observe it, and ask yourself if it’s leading you closer to balance or further from it?

That’s the work of the Radiant Reset. And it begins with listening. And I’m right here with you—listening, learning, and practicing too. No perfection. Just presence, compassion, and the courage to keep choosing what truly serves. 💛
